To inform you in the best possible way, we ask you to send us a detailed description of the tattoo you would like to get done:

  • Please describe in a few words what you want to get tattooed.
  • Tell us about the style of tattoo you want to get. (For example: Realism, Japanese, Traditional, Maori, Letters, etc.) If you don’t know the name of the style, please send us a photo of other similar tattoos.
  • Describe the area on the body you are considering getting the tattoo.
  • Tell us the approximate size you are thinking of for your tattoo. Please send us this information in cm (terms like large, medium, small are very relative and do not help understand which size is right for you).

Any other information you can send will help us to better understand what you would like to get tattooed. You can also send us reference images, such as tattoos that you like, drawings, photographs, etc. With all this information you provide we can advise you on the possibilities, prices and the availability of our artists.

When you are looking to get a very large and/or complex tattoo we can offer you an appointment for a face-to-face consultation to better define your ideas and take measurements.

How much will my tattoo cost?

To receive a quote on a tattoo, it is best to send us a message via Whatsapp with a detailed description of the tattoo you would like to get done. With this information we will be able to advise you on the possibilities, the time that we will need to do the tattoo and provide you with an estimated price range.

  • The starting price for tattoos is 70€.
  • We do not charge an hourly rate, all tattoos (or multiple tattoos) to be done in the same appointment (start and finish the same day) will have a fixed price range.
  • For large or complex projects that require more than 2 sessions, a fixed fee per session will be applied. The price per session will only be applied when there is a commitment from the client to do tattoo sessions periodically and finish the full project in less than 6 months. The price of the session is 350€ per session (morning or afternoon) or 700€ for the full day.

The tattoo I want is very small. Why should I pay a minimum price?

Most tattoo studios apply a starting price. The amount that each studio charges will depend greatly on the quality and work experience of the tattoo artists and the quality of the materials used by the studio. At Ink-in Tattoo we charge a starting price of 70€.

This minimum price covers the materials, and the time reserved in the artists’ schedule to prepare and perform your tattoo. All the materials we use for each client are of single use and will be disposed after use.

The materials we need to use for each client are practically the same for a very small tattoo as for a medium or large one. For this reason getting a small tattoo may seem relatively more expensive than getting a larger tattoo.

If you are planning to get more than one small/medium tattoo, you may find it interesting to get several tattoos done during the same appointment. As long as it is for the same person on the same day, we will be able to take advantage of the materials needed and this will be reflected in the quoted price range.

To get a quote that is adjusted to your ideas, feel free to send us a detailed description of the tattoos you want to get done and we will inform you on prices.

How much is the deposit and why is it necessary?

The amount you must pay in deposit will depend on the approximate price of your tattoo.

We ask for a deposit of minimum 20€ for tattoos with an estimated value up to 150€, a minimum 50€ for tattoos with an estimated value exceeding 150€ up to 300€. All tattoos with an estimated value of 300€ and more require a deposit to be of 30% of the estimated value of the tattoo.

Deposits paid serve as a guarantee for the time we reserve on the artist’s agenda and will be deducted from the final price to pay at the end of the tattoo sitting.

When a client formalizes their appointment with a deposit, our artists fully commit to the work they have accepted and spend time and creative effort prior to your appointment, in order to prepare your design. The time we reserve in our agenda is exclusive to the client, resulting in no opportunity to recover lost time and income in case of a last minute cancelation.

We ask clients understand this situation and to respect the conditions of the reservation and the deposit.

When you show up, on the agreed time and date, the deposit you have paid will be deducted from the final price to pay at the end of the appointment.

All appointments that are confirmed with a deposit can be moved or changed by the client with a minimum of 48 hours notice.

The following reasons will result in the cancelations of the paid deposits:

  • Not showing up or being more than 20 minutes late to your appointment.
  • Cancelling the appointment with less than 48 hours notice.
  • Requesting on the spot drastic last-minute changes to the general idea of the tattoo design agreed upon. Please notify us of changes with 48hrs notice.
  • Your health is our priority, therefor we ask you to notify us of any health and/or skin conditions you might have before finalizing your booking with a deposit. Showing up to your appointment with a sunburn or lesion and failing to notify us with 48 hours notice will result in having to postpone the appointment and thus the loss of your deposit.

Can I cancel my appointment and will I get my deposit back?

If you decide to cancel your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can re-arrange your appointment with time in advance.

You can change/move your appointment by giving us at least 48 hours notice.

Deposits paid are non-refundable and non-transferable to other persons.

If you decide to cancel your appointment and it is not possible for you to book a new date on the spot, we offer you the possibility to contact the studio during the following 3 months after the cancellation date. This way you will be able to use the deposit and it will be deducted from the price to be paid at your next appointment. After the 3 months of cancelation this will not be possible.

Can I get a tattoo without an appointment?

It is always best to make an appointment, however, if we have availability we will accept walk-in clients. To avoid disappointment we always advise you to contact us before coming to the studio.

Can I call to make an appointment?

We only offer appointments via phone call for piercings.

Because tattoo appointments require deposits we won’t be able to offer you an appointment over the phone.

To make an appointment you can contact us via Whatsapp: (+34) 615400866. When sending us your ideas we inform you about the possibilities, prices and available appointments and will also inform you how you can formalize your booking by paying a deposit.

What is the minimum age to get a tattoo or piercing?

In order to book an appointment for a tattoo you must be of legal age (18 years or older).

If you are between 16 and 18 years old, you will be able to get a tattoo. However, we will need you to come to the studio with a parent or legal guardian on the day of your appointment, so that they can give us both verbal and written consent by signing a consent form at the studio. It is important that both you and the parent or legal guardian who will accompany you, can show us ID or passport at the studio.

At Ink-in Tattoo we don’t perform any tattoo or piercing services on children under 16 years of age.

Can I pay by credit card?

It is not possible to pay by credit card. At the studio we offer the following payment options: cash payments, Paypal, Bizum or Revolut.

I have a general idea for a design. Can you prepare a custom design for me with this idea?

Of course we can! At Ink-in Tattoo we prepare customized and personalized designs for our clients. Show us photos, artwork or any other type of reference as it will be very useful for us to better understand your ideas.

The preparation of custom designs requires time and effort on the part of the tattoo artist. For that reason custom designs will only be prepared for clients with a prior tattoo appointment secured with a deposit.

Can I bring my own design?

Yes, but for a design to be suitable to create a tattoo and for the tattoo to be durable over time, most of the times your design will need some adjustments.

Our artists create custom designs for our clients, therefor we ask our clients to understand that we can’t simply ‘copy a design’ from another artist or tattoo a drawing created by a friend or family member without considering the final result on the skin. If you have found a tattoo or design by another artist that you love, we can always use it as a reference from which we will create a unique tattoo for you. We will base the new personal design on the same style or elements of the design that has inspired you to get tattooed.

Most of the tattoos shown on your website are quite large, but I have something smaller/simpler in mind. Do you also do small/fine line tattoos?

Our portfolio on the website and social media is a small display of the styles and quality of work of our artists. Our artists do not only do this type of work; the studio covers a large variety of different styles and sizes. Big or small, we take pride in creating all tattoos with the same dedication.

I want to cover a tattoo/scar. How can I organize an appointment?

In order to evaluate the possibilities you can send us a photo by WhatsApp of the tattoo or scar you would like to cover. Cover-ups are complicated and will most of the times require more size and space on the body to be performed correctly. It will not always be possible to cover it well. It is important for us to be able to offer you the best possible solution, which will not always be covering it with another tattoo.

In the case of scars, the possibility of  covering it with a tattoo it will be evaluated case by case, you can send us a photo to WhatsApp and/or we will arrange a consultation with a previous appointment in order to evaluate the possibilities with attention and delicacy.

When will I be able to see the final design for my tattoo?

You will be able to see the final design for your tattoo on the day of your appointment. The artist will show you the design he has prepared for you according to the indications you have given us in previous consultations. During the tattoo appointment we calculate enough time to be able to make modifications to the designs if necessary. Don’t worry; you won’t get anything tattooed that you don’t love!

In the worst case scenario, if you really don’t like the design and it requires a major re-design, the appointment will be postponed and we will make use of the time reserved to better understand your ideas.

In the case of a complete change of heart of the general idea, this must be notified with at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to notify us of major changes to the idea that was discussed, will result in having to cancel the appointment and thus the loss of the paid deposit.

Can I bring a friend/family member/my children to my tattoo appointment?

Yes, but they will not be able to accompany you inside the tattoo area. Your companions will have to wait for you at our reception area. However we advise clients to come alone, that way you will be more concentrated and this will result in  better experience and outcome.

Tattoo studios are not suitable places for children; there are many dangers to which they can be exposed. In general it is an adult environment where some of the conversations, images, etc. may not be appropriate for children. Bringing your children to get tattooed can distract you, your tattoo artist and/or other customers. If you are unable to arrange a babysitter, your children must always be accompanied by another adult in the reception area.

Do you do gift cards?

Yes we do! Contact us by e-mail or Whatsapp to buy a gift card for a loved one. We prepare gift cards for the amount you choose and they are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Please read the terms and conditions of our gift cards carefully before proceeding with the purchase, as there will be no refund.

I suffer from an illness/allergy, can I get a tattoo?

We are available for consultations on Whatsapp to resolve any specific questions you may have regarding how getting a  tattoo may affect your health. If you suffer from any of the following diseases/allergies it is important that you notify us when making your appointment and consult the risks of getting tattooed with your physician beforehand:

– You have a weak immune system or are sick.

– You have recently undergone surgery or will undergo surgery in the near future.

– You are receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

– You suffer from some type of skin disease.

Does it hurt to get a tattoo? How long does it take to make a tattoo?

The time we will need to perform a tattoo can take anywhere from 30 minutes for a small tattoo, up to the whole day depending on the size and details of the tattoo you want to get done.

For large tattoos like f.e. full backs, arms and legs we will perform the tattoo in several sessions of 3 or 6 hours. In most cases small/medium tattoos are done in 1 to 4 hours.

The level of pain will depend largely on the size and location on the body where you want to get the tattoo. The pain threshold is different for each person, but most people can tolerate the feeling. Although it is a manageable pain, it is important for the client to be focused and rested since it does involve a physical and mental effort to cope. So we advise you to come in calm, rested and sober and we recommend to always eat something before starting your tattoo session.

I am on vacation in Marbella. Is it a bad idea to get a tattoo during the summer?

You can get tattooed at any time of the year. It is true that there are things to keep in mind before and after getting a tattoo in order to guarantee the best outcome, especially when you decide to get a tattoo during the summer season.

BEFORE GETTING A TATTOO:

In order to be able to do your tattoo, the skin must be healthy and in a good condition; the slightest sun burn will make it imposible to do the tattoo. Even if your skin is slightly burned, red/pink, hot to the touch, or shows any other sign of having been exposed to the sun during the days prior to your appointment.

If you have booked your tattoo appointment during the summer months be sure to use highly protective sunscreen (50+) on the area where you want to get tattooed. It is even better to avoid exposing that area of the body to the sun altogether and to cover the skin with clothing to protect it from the sun. To avoid the skin you want to tattooed getting burned, we advise you to protect it from the sun for at least a week before your tattoo appointment.

AFTER GETTING THE TATTOO:

To guarantee the best result it is very important that you follow the instructions to heal your new tattoo. During the first 2/3 weeks after tattooing you should keep the tattoo out of the sun, sea water, swimming pool, lakes, rivers, etc. In order to enjoy your vacation to the fullest, we recommend that you contact us to make your appointment in advance and plan it for the last days of your vacation.

This way you will be able enjoy your vacation, take good care of your skin before and after your tattoo appointment and return home with a unique souvenir to last a lifetime.

Do I have to make another appointment to retouch my tattoo?

When a tattoo artist is experienced and uses good techniques and the client heals the tattoo as instructed, a touch-up will most probably not be necessary.

It may happen that after healing you can see some parts where the ink is lighter, or that the ink has completely disappeared after a little scab has formed during healing. These minor flaws can be easily corrected. To be able to asses if a touch up is necessary, At least 4-6 weeks must pass. You can send us a photo of your healed tattoo via WhatsApp and if the tattoo needs a touch up we will offer you a new appointment. We won’t charge for retouching small and normal imperfections created during the tattoo healing process. But if we see that the client has not followed the instructions for healing and as a result large or multiple scabs have formed, the retouching will have an additional cost. Free of charge touch-ups will only be included during the first 2 months after getting your tattoo, if you notify us of imperfections to your tattoo after that time the touch-ups will have an additional cost.
